MALAKA
Swiss band MALAKA are back with their second EP ‘Frankenstein's Novel’, which will be released in spring 2025. Following their debut EP ‘WAHEO’, the band takes an introspective direction with a collection of five songs exploring the complexities of love, relationships and the transformations that come with them.
The EP ‘Frankenstein's Novel’ is inspired by Mary Shelley's iconic novel and tells a contemporary story about love and relationships in the form of several songs. Each song explores the emotions that arise in moments of passion, doubt, heartbreak and connection, revealing an open-ended exploration of identity and understanding. Like Shelley's novel, the EP leaves the listener with the question: are we really monsters, or are we just misunderstood?

MALAKA's sound, characterised by diverse musical influences from various eras of rock & indie music, embodies a remarkable diversity that sets them apart in the world of alternative rock. Their music is characterised by raw energy, energetic riffs and a spark of melancholy.
